ARIEL FUOCO

Ariel has been apart of the Calgary dance community for over 17 years. Starting at the age of three, she began taking ballet and jazz classes and competitively dancing shortly after. Having a great passion for dance and a dedication to the fine arts, Ariel continued competing until she graduated from high school.

Ariel was fortunate enough to train Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. She had amazing experiences while training in other genres such as Swing, Latin, Acro and Partnering with some of the most amazing choreographers and trainers from around the world. Also from the renowned show, Cirque Du Soleil.

At a young age, Ariel knew that dance would be her passion forever. She was a member of some of the most prestiges shows in Calgary like The Young Canadians and performed in front of over 20, 000 people. Ariel also got to travel all over Canada and the United States for dance in some places like Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Disneyland winning scholarships to further her career.

Though she was extremely competitive in all types of dance, her passion for choreography took her in a different direction. She realized that her dream was not to be under the stage lights anymore, but to be the creator behind it all. 5 years now Ariel has been a choreographer and had multiple high achievements in just a few short years. In just the 2016 dance season, she was awarded 6 choreography awards. Some of her greater accomplishments have been Winning Choreographer of The Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and also holding the title of Danceworks Grand Champions in the finals two years in a row. Ariel also received a People’s Choice Award 2016 for her work and walked away with the First Place Overall for her routines in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Not only is Ariel a choreographer for the competitive world, but she has done a lot for charity and professional music videos. Creating with Canadian Idol Jenn Beaupre and famous country music star Bobby Wills in their music videos back 2011 and 2013. Ariel also choreographed a flash mob for the Guinness World Record of building the longest lemonade stand in the world and helping raise awareness against bullying. Working along side many organizations like The Children’s Wish Foundation is what Ariel likes to do most when she is not in the studio. Her goal is to be able to teach her students and help be a stepping stone in finding their own passion in life.
