BRITTANY GORMAN

Brittany began dancing at age 3 and is extensively trained in jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, contemporary, African dance, lyrical, polynesian, and acrobatics. She has completed her Cecchetti exams from Grade 1 to Advanced 1. She currently specializes in teaching tumbling and acrobatics to recreational and competitive students ages 4-18. Brittany is Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certified, and follows the Acrobatic Arts curriculum within her classes. She is a certified Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Registered Massage Therapist. After completing her RMT training program in 2018 Brittany focuses on implementing her wealth of knowledge in anatomy and injury prevention to train healthy dancers and acrobats. Brittany graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in dance, where she completed a dance intensive pre professional program. She has preformed in many professional shows during her time as a student at SFU with some of Vancouver’s top contemporary choreographers. Throughout her university degree Brittany cheered for the Simon Fraser University Red competitive cheerleading team from 2008-2012, where she trained with national level gymnastic instructors. She has danced professionally with the Vancouver Stealth 2012-2014 and the BC Lions Felions 2014-2017, and was the Felions captain for 2 years. She has a passion for performing and looks forward to passing down her love of the stage to her students. Brittany uses her love of the arts, performance, fitness, anatomy and nutrition to create well rounded healthy dancers.
