DARCELLE CHIN

Darcelle received her dance training in Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Song & Dance, Polynesian, Spanish and Acrobatics in the lower mainland, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and Hawaii. She has won numerous awards and scholarships and is the Senior Tap, Stage and Jazz Provincial winner of the first BC Festival of the Arts.

Darcelle has choreographed many fashion shows, productions and special events including the Opening Ceremonies for the BC Srs Games and has adjudicated several dance festivals throughout BC and Alberta. Performing credits include various musicals and stage shows, television specials, commercials and films. She co-hosted the national television series “Going Great” with Keanu Reeves and Chris Makepeace. Darcelle is a former Miss PNE, Miss Burnaby and Miss Vancouver Chinatown.

While maintaining her involvement in the arts, Darcelle finished high school at age 14 and then went on to earn her BSc from Simon Fraser University and her MBA from the Ivy School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Darcelle was the director/owner of “Darcelle’s Dancers” studio and performing troupe for over 30 years. She is excited to return to DanceForce to teach Polynesian and see everyone again.
